Better Jobs Ontario (formerly Second Career) is a provincial funding program for laid-off workers in Ontario who are retraining for in-demand careers. Commercial truck driving consistently ranks on Ontario's in-demand list, so MELT training is a qualifying program.
Approved applicants can receive funding toward tuition, books, transportation, and basic living allowance during their training period. We're a registered career college under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, which means our MELT program meets the program-eligibility requirements.

If you were injured on the job and can't return to your previous occupation, WSIB Ontario can fund retraining for a new career. Your WSIB case manager can refer you to vocational training programs like ours and authorize coverage for tuition and materials.
